Something MERRY This Way Comes
Two Title Reveals & Announcing a Very Special Project
My Ever-Patient Readers,
It has been a while since I’ve had the determination to sit down and write a newsletter. Mostly it’s because life is still sort of whirlwind-shaped. Every new season seems to bring its own challenges, and “busyness” is the theme of this one.
A Much-Anticipated Update
If you follow me on Instagram, you will have heard the exciting news: the title of book three of the Song of the Solas trilogy has officially been revealed!
I am beyond thrilled to be able to call this third book by its rightful name—And Burns the Dawn.
I haven’t had the time to work on the cover yet (but I have ideeeeeaaaasss), so you’ll just have to be content with this temporary cover in the meantime.
Drafting the conclusion to a trilogy I have spent years dreaming up has been a lot more weighty than I could have imagined. But, oh, it’s going to be so good. I adore these characters and where their journeys will take them. I can’t wait to share it with you.
And now! On to . . .
A Holiday Gift for You
In the summer of 2024, I had the opportunity to join with some talented romance writers (and friends!) to bring you this absolutely delightful ebook FREEBIE just for being a subscriber to this here newsletter. (And if you missed it, go ahead and click the link above and snag it now.)
Well, we’ve done it again, but this time with a Christmas Romance Collection. If you’re a subscriber, all you need to do is click the link in my newsletter on publication day, November 24th. And all new subscribers will receive a copy of it for a limited time, too.
What is this project called? Well, I’m glad you asked.
(Emily Barnett knocked the design out of the park, didn’t she?)
This… this isn’t just a freebie. The authors and our fearless leaders, Katie Fitzgerald and Rachel Lawrence, have put so much into this. It’s a real, bonafide Book of Considerable Length.
And it’s our gift to you.
“Cozy up with some Christmas romance! This collection of sweet and festive short romances captures all the comfort and joy of the holiday season. Featuring cocoa and cookies, snowstorms and Santa suits, light displays, nutcrackers, and family time, these twelve stories celebrate the most wonderful time of the year where the greatest gift is love.”
My story, “Pieces of Us,” is written from the point-of-view of a single dad struggling to make ends meet. It’s a story of running away and being found, with a whole lot of adorable and swoony moments thrown in. And hot cocoa, of course.
Because I love my newsletter subscribers ever so much, you get to be the first to see the lil cover I illustrated for it.
(Behold.)
Ewan & Adrienne’s story is very close to my heart. I know, I say that about everything I write. But I literally threw so many pieces of my own life into this one that it kind of takes the cake.
Aaaand… that pretty much wraps us this very off-the-cuff newsletter. Thank you for being here, and for (for some flabbergasting reason) being interested in what I say.
Soli Deo gloria!
-Andrea
